We’ve all been through it: the negative thought spiral.
One thought of self-doubt or fear or worry takes up residence in your mind and before you know it, you’ve got twenty similar thoughts swirling around you mind.
“I’m not good enough.”
“I’ll never hit my goals.”
“What if I fail?”
“I’m so lazy.”
Soon your mood takes a turn for the worse and your entire day feels heavy, frustrating, and irritating.
You go to bed, hoping you’ll feel better in the morning, but of course you wake up and those negative thoughts are there just waiting for you.
And so you trudge along - maybe for a few more days, maybe a few more weeks, maybe even a few months - wondering when you’ll start to feel better.
Venting to your best friend doesn’t work. Journaling it out isn’t helping. And screaming into your pillow only seems to make it worse.
So what do you do?
How do you put an end to that negative thought spiral and get back to feeling like the badass you are?
Here’s the good news: just as this negative thought spiral started with one thought, it can be ended with one thought.
